Paintball News Magazine, a free and independent online news magazine serving the sport of paintball, has launched its first issue. Carter Brown, from mcarterbrown.com has teamed up with the founder and long time publisher of The Paintball News, Rene Boucher, along with Ed Austin, Drum Taylor, and Paul Magarian to form a brand new, Twenty-first century version of the original free paintball newspaper.

First released in May, 1990, The Paintball News was ever a unique creature on the paintball scene, a free black and white newsprint paper issued semi-monthly and found in stacks at all the best brick and mortar paintball-related business and fields. Offering the latest paintball news, independent product reviews and journalism related to paintball, The Paintball News employed hundreds of writers over its two decade run and was a true grassroots media phenomenon.


With the release of Paintball News Magazine, the original concept of an independent and free news source for the sport of paintball has evolved to the next logical level. As a virtual paintball magazine published digitally online, Paintball News Magazine will keep costs to a minimum and thus be able to provide an unbiased and unfiltered window on the latest events and products in the paintball world.


Reinvigorating the impressive grassroots network of independent journalists that made The Paintball News great, Paintball News Magazine will be inviting the movers and innovators of the paintball industry to offer their views and wisdom to the next generations of paintballers and welcoming on the spot news and event reviews from paintballers around the world.


Paintball News Magazine will be released monthly, beginning with the inaugural issue, released July 1, 2010.
