Currently sitting in the second place position of the Central Division of the RXL and going into CXBL’s fifth event it will be a plus minus race for Supremacy to be the top team in the 2009 RXL season.
First off what is your name and who do you play for?
My name is Dennis Dendiuk and with my partner Will Smith (No, not the Actor) we are owners and players for Essex Supremacy in the RXL.
How is the season going for your team right now?
We are tied for first and are in a must win situation. All we can do is play our game and win.
Event five is around the corner, who if anyone do you feel is the major threat in your division?
I feel that our worst threat is the penalty box. As long as we stay out of there no one can beat us!
What have you guys been doing to get prepared for this event? Anything out of the ordinary?
We have had a good format for our practices, we have a numbering system for every bunker on the field and our coaches review field map sheets with us heading into the events. We scrimmage and we have a great coaching staff to help us read the field and to tell us what we need to do.
What about the CXBL do you guys like the most? The least?
I personally love the format and the way each division’s rankings through the season are kept track of on the CXBL site. The least is how far we have to drive to events. Being from the most southern part of Canada and having to drive to Ground Zero twice is hard on the wallet for our guys.
Does your team compete in any other leagues currently or plan to participate in any of the major US league closing events such as PSP World Cup or USPL Vegas?
We only play CXBL this year but we plan to jump in on a couple of ESPL events to top off the season.
What sponsors does your team have for this season?
Our only monetary sponsor is DieHard Paintball Inc. Which has helped our players afford the costs involved. As well we have people who give their time to help us learn the fields and manage our pits at the events.
We all know that the end of the 2009 is close, but where do you see your team going in 2010 and beyond that?
I hope to see us leading the pack in the MXL and then into the CXBL. Then we can pick up more sponsors and maybe hit some PSP events. But my main concern is winning this next match against Hespeler.
Something you love? Inferno chicken wings at Billy Bostons in Essex, Ontario.
Something you hate? Warm beer!
Something that is a stereotype to Canadian paintball? That we all use pump guns cause it is so cold up here!
